Guiding innocent passengers down some of the world’s most thrilling whitewater seems like an improbable training ground for a lawyer. For Mike Kvarme, it encapsulated many of the skill sets required of an attorney.
“Navigating a treacherous stretch of river requires analysis of the obstacles and risk, proper planning and examining contingencies, and ultimately impeccable execution,” Mike notes. The same skills required in the more sedate and intellectually demanding practice of law.
Mike concentrates on a transactionally based real estate, finance and business planning practice. His clients range from publicly traded companies to closely held businesses and individuals. Mike’s skill and success have been confirmed by clients and peers in recognitions as a Super Lawyer (Real Estate and Business Counseling), Best Lawyer (Real Estate) and Martindale-Hubbell Top Rated Lawyer (Land Use and Zoning). He has been chosen frequently to write and lecture for the California Continuing Education of the Bar and other organizations.
Mike has been privileged to work on a number of significant projects in his career: lead counsel for the redevelopment of McClellan Air Force Base into one of the most successful military base conversions in the country.
